Glow The Echo Glow is made by Amazon and due to be released in November 2019 and retails for $30. This device isn’t out yet, but many details are available. It has a full color spectrum and can be controlled from the Alexa app or from any Alexa device. It connects to WiFi and requires Amazon’s cloud to function. It’s powered with a fixed cord and mentions a power adapter, so maybe USB?
The Suzy Snooze is made by a company in London and available for about $133. This device concentrates on soothing young children to sleep. Using light and sound programs combined with cry detection, it can also automatically soothe children if they wake up in the middle of the night (supposedly). It only has one color, orange, and doesn’t talk at all about how it is powered. There are no visible plugs, so I presume a cord and custom power supply.
The Hatch Baby rest and Baby Rest+ retail for $60 and $90 respectively. Rest The Rest is the older model controlled via Bluetooth. It supports a schedulable light and sound machine. You define the schedule with start and end times for specific activities. This makes logical sense, but you do then need to be careful to not overlap times. The Aumi Light is made by a small company in Toronto, Canada and available for about $50. Original Originally started from a kickstarter in 2015, this bluetooth light has nice industrial design. It has a bultin battery and can be turned on/off or adjusted with manual controls on the light. It has fold down prongs, so only works with US outlets or adapters. Recent backer comments suggest poor support, but that could just be Kickstarter anger.
